Question
Moms has a HMO and is married to my father who is in very good health. They were both living with me until he took her to Modesto,ca.  I live in Sacramento,ca. I really would like her to be closer to me.  My mom is in a rehab center in Modesto, ca. I would like her to drop her HMO and have maidcare and a AARP. I not sure what to do

Answer
If the HMO that your mom has is also doing business in Sacramento then all you have to do is transfer her address..BUT, if the HMO does not do business in Sacramento then you CAN transfer her to Medicare and AARP and not have to wait til the specific dates once a year to transfer her. Check to see if they have a network in Sac and hope that they are just local to the Central Valley. Then all you have to do is contact Medicare. Good luck.

Merry
