Question
I want to know is meditation beneficial for ADD and OCD and depression and other anxiety disorders?.I have heard while doing meditation ones mind goes from beta state to theta and delta states creating relaxation.which is very beneficial for them.

Answer
That would depend upon the meditator.  A BMW, for example is a fine automobile but if the driver is inexperienced they could easily crash the car....if they blamed the car that would would be foolish.  So too, the mind vehicle can be steered in new direction transforming the way the world appears but if one just goes and tries to meditate without instructions and then fails it would be a mistake to blame meditation.  If one studies with a race car driver one's car control skills can develop in leaps and bounds so too with an experienced guide one can learn to steer clear of many mental ailments.
