Melrose Place - What did Alison mean?

Expert: Adam Thompson - 5/14/2006

Question
Hey there.  I was watching a repeat of an episode from season 4, i'm sorry, I don't know what date but it is a couple of episodes before Brooke dies. Alison says to Billy " You once taught me what it meant to look past your own hurt and touch another human being." For the life of me, I can't think what that means and what she is referring to. Can you help?

Answer
Hi Sally, the episode you are referring to is 'Sydney, Bothered and Bewildered', and yeah it is a couple of episodes before Brooke's timely death!!! Anyway, you don't have to apologise, I signed up to help out. Okay, this is a tricky question but well spotted. Alison once ran over a young boy in a state of inebriation, in season 3. Billy said to her why don't you stop feeling sorry for yourself and think about a boy who has just spent the night in hospital." It may be this or it may be something that we are meant to believe happened in the times that you aren't seeing what the characters are up to. I do hope this helps, I will think it about it and will try to come up with a more plausible answer. Bye x
