About Valerie Propst Expertise I have seen the entire Melrose Place series no less than 7 times. I own it on DVD, and know all the characters and actors in and out. I know all the plot lines, and what characters are associated with each other. The only thing I may not be able to answer is music questions.

Question I'm a huge fan of this show (I watched the entire original run and am now watching the entire run again on SoapNet), and I've always wondered why Courtney Thorne-Smith, Andrew Shue, Vanessa Williams, and Amy Locane left the show. Would you have any insight or knowledge about this? I'm betting I know the answers but I wanted to get the low-down from you. Thanks!!

Courtney Thorne-Smith:
When she left "Melrose", the actress claimed she wanted time off but she was soon back before the cameras in the pivotal role as lawyer Georgia Thomas, now married to the title character's true love, in Fox's hit "Ally McBeal", a role she played from 1997 until 2000. Thorne-Smith also returned to the big screen as co-star to Carrot Top in the comedy "Chairman of the Board" (1998).
Andrew Shue:
Shue left the angst opera Melrose, he said to begin to several non-profit ventures. His latest is DoSomething.com a Web site that benefits children whose ages range between kindergarten through high school. There were several reasons Shue continued to surf the Net as an entrepreneur that included spending more time with his family and changing lives in the community.
Vanessa Williams:
Vanessa was written out of the show after the first season.
Amy Locane:
Amy was written out of the show after only a few months.
