Mercedes - 1991 190E 2.6 fuel pressure regulator

Expert: whunter - 10/3/2006

Question
Is the fuel pressure adjustable on the pressure regulator? Also how is the pressure checked on this model.. ..Does the regulator need to be replaced if pressure is incorrect? I don't know if the fuel pumps are putting out the correct pressure as well.. I have a problem where the engine turns over well & just comes to the brink of starting but it just won't keep going on its own..Could this be a fuel pressure problem  & could you give me any other suggestions?  Thank you,, Russell
