Mercedes - 91 Mercedes 190E shutting down

Question
This is a 2.6 with about 150,000 miles on it. Location: South Arkansas. We disconnected the ignition coil to check for fire. The first 2 times, it had a blue spark, then on the 3rd try to start the car, there was no spark. After it sits overnight, it will start again. Maybe this means the ignition coil is bad??

-----Question-----
I have a 91 Mercedes 190E. It's shutting down after running for a while (10 minutes or so)& it usually takes a few hours before it restarts. It just turns over but won't crank. The car sounds like it's not getting gas or something, but we can hear the fuel pump & had gas shooting out of the line when disconnecting it. How would you test the ignition coil to make sure it's good? Any good way to narrow down the problem without a MB dealership? Thanks!

Answer
Answer:
This confirms a fault in the electrical system related to ignition.

You need local hands on help.

Most mechanics familiar with German cars should be able to diagnose and repair your issue from the following article.
