Question I have a mercedes 190e 2.6l automatic, 1990 model which I recently bought. Everything is fine but for the engine cutting out from time to time. It starts well during the morning, but for some reason while driving along it just suddenly cut out the engine, restarting is no problem but it just upsetting. would you be so kind to help.

How is the power, like a rocket or rather weak?
What is the engine temperature when this happens?
Is the exhaust manifold rust red or more white?
With the engine running, if you remove the oil fill cap, does it puff smoke like a train?
