Mercedes Benz repair - oil mixing with water in radiator

Expert: Ricky Higdon - 11/4/2008

Question
Hi, I drive an E230 benz, started observing oil shortage of late then discovered oil in water for radiator. Also, the car does not respond well when accelerated

Answer
Good Morning!! Sorry  for  your problem. Sounds Like  you have a blown head gasket or  maybe a radiator that has a crack in it somewhere. This is ruled out if the car is standard shift  transmission. Make sure that this is oil and not transmission  fluid. If it is oil, then  you  have a head gasket leaking  and needs attention. Is  the car running hot? Thankkks and i hope this helps. Let me know if i can help  you further. Thanks, Rick
