Question on the dash a trouble light is on like a low on oil or something but the oil level is correct ond the pressure is reading good so why is the light on it is an 1989 mb 300 E 193 000 miles
Answer If oil level is ok. And like you say you gave good pressure. I thing you are saying that because of the reading inside on the instrument cluster but ok. No engine noise? Lets say no. Remove oil filler cap when engine is running, Do you see oil spraying up there under the cap. Lets say yes to this one too.
Ok there is an oil level sensor on the drivers side of the oil pan. Check the harness and the plug. If ok there are 2) 10mm short bolts holding the level sensor. Replace oil level sensor part numbers are
1) OIL LEVEL SENSOR 124-542-00-17
1) Seal 017-007-5848
10 Seal 017-997-39-48
