Question I found a 83 300D Benz that I want to buy. It's in good shape. One problem, the owner avised me that the A/C has been replaced in the last year, but the air doesn't blow cold air much less cool air. Does this mean it needs freon or it's just so old A/C really means not hot air?
Answer Greetings! What this means that something is wrong with the a/c system on the car. You will need to take this to a workshop near you and have them check it out. It either has a compressor that is not pumping, a bad expansion valve under the dash,or simply no freon.
When a workshop hooks up his guages on the car he can tell you more about it.Thanks and i hope this helps! Rick
