Question do you know of anyone doing crack repair on the 603 heads? the eng in question has started to display oil in the coolant. compresion test is 26 bar with suspect cly #1 #2 at 25 bar and some inj nailing noise from the #1 cylider at idle. will be pulling head off soon. thanks
Answer Good Morning Chip!There is a place here in nashville that used to do that. It is called Headworks of Nashville.I myself would just find another head and change everything over. I think that is the 5 cyl diesel head isnt it?
They are pretty plentiful around here!
That is a common problem on that type head.
They crack in between the valves most of the time. Im not sure if this helped you or not but maybe it will get you started in the right direction. Thanks, Rick
