Question I am having a loud squeak coming from my front end. It seem to be suspension related as i can hear the noise by pressing down on the fender. It also happens when taking off also on moderate to bumpy roads. any ideas?
Answer Greetings!
These cars are noted for the squeaks in the front end.Mercedes Benz knew what they were doing when they built the cars. More than likely it is the lower ball joint. If you turn your steering wheel to the side that will let you get just underneath it, you can take a small pick and punch a hole in the boot on the ball joint. Then get you some wd-40 and with a nozzle on the tip, spray it in the little hole you made. This will determine the exact problem. if that doesnt do it try the tie rod end, etc untill you find the one that is squeking. it will make it quit squeaking instantly. This will only solve your problem for a few months or so, Then it may give you some time to get your funds together to get it fixed.Mercedes did not and do not have grease fittings to this day!
Thanks and i hope this helps! Rick
