Meteorology (Weather)/Plasma Storm

Question
I understand that a plasma storm struck Minnesota in 1936.  That year Minnesota was experiencing extreme heat.  Is there a correlation of extreme heat to plasma storms?  What causes a 'plasma' storm?

Thank you!

Answer
Hi Peggy

No correlation to heat; "plasma storms" are caused by Geomagnetic storms which are from a disturbance in/on the Sun.

As to the cause, see:
