Meteorology (Weather)/warm fronts

You hear a weather forecast in the middle of the summer that predicts a warm front moving in. Do you expect a quick violent storm or several days of rain? Why?

Hi Leslie

A warm front will bring warmer air to a location, it may also bring clouds and showers and or rain. Typically it either brings clouds and showers rather than prolong rain. The exception would be if the front stalled and became a stationary front. Severe weather (thunderstorms) typically arrive ahead of cold fronts.
