It might seem like a crazy idea, but would it be possible to seed high clouds/potential tornado producing clouds similar to hurricane clouds done in the 1950's and 60's??

The simple answer is no. The reason is that the forces that create the thunderstorm clouds that host tornadoes is not susceptible to cloud seeding. Cloud seeding increase rain fall but will not destruct thunderstorms. Basics's
