With all due respect, Rev., I do not agree with you.   You say that the essence of Baptism is putting water on you.   Is that biblical?   Jesus wasn't sprinkled and no one in the bible that I know of was sprinkled.

Although since the word "baptize" means immerse, one would question how MUCH water needs to be poured or sprinkled. THis practice actually came into use many centuries after Christ's ascension.
