Question I am an eighteen year old girl whom lives in alabama, (US) my boyfriend is mexican and was smuggled into the country, he has a sound job as a manager at a local mexican restaurant. My parents are against us being together I come from a very well off family and they look down upon this I am bilingual and me and him are in love! there is another guy that I am having to date to cover up me and lalo being together so that my family doesnt catch on, Lalo cannot return to mexico to stay forever we must remain here. What must I do to legalize him here? how can we be together?
Answer Before anything else, thanks for writing me at AllExperts.com
Mmmmhhhh..... Well, is not easy.
For legalize him, only with a visa or request for a pardon and a green card. He must leave US in both cases. Sometimes is possible get a 'pardon' (but ONLY sometimes) and stay in US, but he must get a good job in US and get marriage.
In other case, is necessary back to Mexico, request for a visa and await for an answer. Student, worker or tourist. You can sponsor a tourist's visa, but is necessary for him a job in Mexico. Other option is back to Mexico and get a job's offer from US employer. Is necessary contact to an employer before.
Student visa if he can get an school sponsor.
Is necessary get contacts in US before request a visa.
The 'pardon' option is only if he get marriage with US citizen and several times USCIS decline anyway.
