Subject: where to marry.

Question
Hello, I have two questions, I am an American citizen and my boyfriend is a Mexiccan citizen w/visa laser, we want to get married in Mexico (civil marriage).  I have a "doble nacionalidad mexicana" however, I only have a birth certificate, I currently live in Mexico but have no official identification.  Should I marry as a Mexican or as an American citizenship?  Question#2: We will be later moving back to the U.S. and I would like to know the process to getting our marriage certificate valid in the U S., or is it just easier if we marry (civil marriage) in the U.S. all together, and if so can we marry in Mexico (civil marriage) after we have been married in the US? NOTE:  our intention is to eventually move back to the US.

Answer
Before anything else, thanks for writing me at AllExperts.com

Answers:

1.- For get papers and help, if you are Mexican, visit www.sre.gob.mx/eua for get Mexican passport and other requirements. I suggest you get marriage as Mexican if you want an 'easy' marriage in Mexico. You can get marriage as US Citizen too, but you need a Mexican Migration Office Permission, your passport, etc. For get more details: www.inm.gob.mx

If you want the easiest way, get marriage in US and get some help for papers for him at www.sre.gob.mx/eua

2.- You must get a certified copy of your marriage certificate at Mexican Civil Register Office and 'apostille' by Mexican Authorities for get registration in US and full validation.

Any doubt or another question, let me know it please.
