Mexican Law - Child Custody in Mexico when parent abandoned family
Expert: L. A. G. M. - 11/4/2009
Question Hello,
My husband abandoned me and our 4 children, one still not born yet, when I was in Mexico. I came the U.S. about 10 years ago, remarried and my new USC husband wants to petition for my children. My question is, how can I prove that my ex husband, father of my children, abandoned us and no legal custody was discussed at the time we divorced for purposes of their immigration cases?
Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
Sincerely,
Brenda
Answer Before anything else, thanks for writing me at AllExperts.com
You need the divorce sentence and his sign in a paper of authorization for petition. With both papers you have not any problem. You need certified copies of that papers with 'apostille' (validation) by Consulate. If the biological father is agree, you have not problem. Contact for help with Mexican papers: www.sre.gob.mx/eua
Any doubt or another question, let me know it please.
Thank you very much for visiting me at AllExperts.com
