QUESTION: Hello, me and my fiancee are going to mexico very soon to get married but we just found out that you cant get married in mexico if you test positive for STD. I have herpes type 1 does this still void our legal marriage in mexico?

You can't get marriage if you have any disease.

Anyway, you can try get marriage and request a 'quick marriage'. Sometimes is possible get marriage without health certificate, but you must explain you need a quick marriage and don't talk about your disease. With no explanation about your health status. Sometimes is possible, but is not 100% sure. Is a suggestion.

But if you can get marriage in other country, is a better option. Is my opinion.

QUESTION: ok but i read statistics and it says that herpes type you can get from even being a chid i wouldnt understand how they could tell us that we cant get married there cuz we have a disease that is very common especially in mexico, this is very upsetting because the wedding is in 3 weeks and everything is paid for.

Well, I said you about a chance. The problem is not only children, is a health problem.

Sometimes is possible get marriage, but is not impossible a difficulty. Depends of applicable Law (different State to State in Mexico), too.
