Mexican Law/adjustment of status

my husband was just approved for the deferred action program and granted a work visa. We have already got a social security number for him and an employment authorization card for him. His petition through marriage is also approved and we have reached to the point where we have submitted the support papers but the only reason we have stopped at this point is because we don't want him to go to mexico to get his visa and be barred to enter the US. Is there a possibility that since he has the deferred action program approved, can we file for an adjustment of status for him now here in the US? Thank you

Before anything else, thanks for writing me at

Well, depends of his specific case, but, as far as I know, yes he can.

Previous full investigation and analysis, USCIS may let him stay in US while the process is pending.

If he is working, with no criminal records, good financial status, etc. Yes, he can.

But, only USCIS may give or not the authorization.
