Question
My wife and I were married in Honduras in 2006. She is Canadian and i am American. We separated in March of 2010. I am a legal permanent resident of Mexico, residing in Jalisco.
She has filed for a divorce in Florida, but now refuses to serve me the papers. Can i file the papers here in Jalisco. She also refuses to give her address, in an attempt to keep me from serving her. What can I do? I want this to be over.
Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

Answer
Hello!

Yes, you can.

And you can file a divorce explaining to Judge about her no residence in Mexico.

You must talk with a local Attorney about better option to get a divorce. You can file at Jalisco. And if she already got a sentence, please visit US Consulate and ask for a copy of that papers.

Any doubt, let me know it please.
