Question
staying one week in Cancun. Want to do a day trip to mayan ruins with my fiance we are in are early thirties no kids. Which mayan ruin would you recommend seeing if can only go to one? Any other excursions you would recomend? thank you for your help

Answer
Chichen-Itza is the place to go to see ruins from Cancun.  But it is an all day excursion so be prepared for being gone for about 12 hours.

If you don't want to be gone that long, a nice ruin site is Tulum.  Often you can visit this site in conjuntion with a trip to Xel-Ha for amazing snorkeling.  I highly recommend booking your excursions with Lomas Travel.  You can pre-book tours on their website:

or they should have a representative at your resort.  Their website will also give you ideas of other tours that you may be of interest to you.  A couple that I can recommend from Cancun is a trip to Isla Mujures, Captain Hook dinner cruise.

I hope this helps with your travel plans!
