Mexico - Cabo wedding

Expert: Pam Smith - 9/18/2008

Question
Hi Pam.  My fiance are getting married next year and plan on having the civil ceremony here in Missouri then going to Cabo for the religious ceremony.  We don't want anything big.  Just a couple boquets and a minister.  We've been looking at Riu Palace for the destination.  Can we just get a minister/flowers without all the hoopla?  Also, What does Mexico require as far as forms for just a religious ceremony?  Thank you in advance.

Michelle

Answer
Congratulations on the engagement!

Getting married legally before you go to Mexico is what I always advise, so once you get there it is pretty easy.

Most wedding packages are pretty simple, it is all the extra amenities that add up.  The "Religious" (not legal) ceremony costs will vary depending on the resort you choose.  Some resorts even offer simple weddings for free!

Have you been to Cabo before?   I am only asking as I want to make sure that is the appropriate destination for you.  Many people do not realize it is a desert climate and that most beaches are not swimable.

I would love to help you further with your plans, can you drop me an email and let me know when you are traveling and I will send you some suggestions.  I hope that you will allow me to assist you with your WeddingMoon plans.  I do not charge for my services and unlike the big internet booking websites you get my personal service and my expertise as well :-)

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Pam
