Question Hi Ron, My Mom who lives in Ajijic and can no longer drive her car. Medical reasons. I am going down to see her in a few weeks. I HATE to fly and I am in need of a car. So I will fly there and then drive her car back home after my visit. I will buy it from her and then register it in Sarnia were I live. Will this be a problem. Thank you so much for your time. BTW I love it there were you live.
Answer Hi Craig, I don't know what will happen at the border when you leave. Perhaps you can turn in the paperwork for her and have the decal removed, but I don't know.
One way or the other the car decal must be turned in or your Mother will always be responsible for that car (she signed a credit card slip when she first brought the car in) and can never bring in another. I suggest you contact Ajijic Law for advice. www.ajijiclaw.com
