Question Hi, my family consists of myself, husband and 2 boys 9 and 11. We have never been to Mexico and have been recommended Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach or Iberostar Paraiso Beach. Do you have any info regarding either of them? Thanks for your time.
Answer I highly recommend the Iberostar Paraiso Beach resort. I have stayed at both and prefer the Iberostar. It has a more luxurious feel, while the Barcelo has a more "Mexican" feel. You get better and more drink choices at the Iberostar including champagne at night. At the Iberostar you can eat at the ala carte restaurants every night, while at the Barcelo you have a limit of 2 for a 7 night stay or longer and anything less than that you only get 1 option otherwise the rest of your meals have to be at the buffet. Depending on when you eat at the buffet it can be VERY hot as it is open air so you get the heat of all the cooking stations that makes it feel even hotter. At the Iberostar their buffet is partially air conditioned. The food area is enclosed and has A/C but you sit outside.
As you can see I am familiar with both properties and would love to assist you with booking your vacation. I am a certified travel agent so I don't charge for my services as I get paid by the resorts, just like those big impersonal internet travel sites do only you get my personalized service that you can't get with them :-)
If you would like some assistance, please drop me an email as I can't post prices on this site. Be sure to include when you want to travel, ages of any kids traveling with and where you are traveling from if you would like air included in the price.
Hope this helps you!
