Question Dear Donna: I have been disappointed lately with the bus service to Mexico City (routed on a second class bus twice recently although I had a first class ticket). Would it be more convenient to take the San Miquel bus to Queretaro and then on to Mexico City and vice versa on the return? More buses, better times, etc. Thank you for your input. Jack
Answer Hello Jack,
Yes, I agree that sometimes the bus to Mexico, D.F. can be a pain. I generally have decent luck on Primera Plus but not always.
Going via Queretaro makes the trip a bit longer, but you are more likely to get on the bus you actually paid for. Service to QTO is frequent, takes less than an hour, and you can get a first class bus from there.
Kind of a toss up--a little extra time in the hopes of a little more comfort or take your chances from San Miguel.
Not a very definitive answer. I'm afraid, but the best I can offer.
