Experience I have traveled many times to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and the Mayan Riviera, as well as Cozumel. I have been selling vacations to these destinations for many years and I travel to many of the resorts in these popular tourist destinations about once a year.
Question I have bought a vacation through CheapCaribbean going to Los Cabos, Mexico. My problem is I didn't read all the details and turns out its at a non-swimmable beach. So now I'm locked into a contract and it would cost me $1000 to amend it to go to a hotel with a swimable beach. My question is: do you think other hotels would allow non-hotel vacationers to use their beach....even for a fee. This would be my only option left to enjoy the ocean. My reservation is at the Presidente Intercontinenal Los Cabos. I will never use CheapCaribbean again.
Thank you
Answer First, let me say that I am sorry you learned a hard lesson by booking with an internet company and not with a travel agent. A travel agent will not charge you an extra for their services and you get the benefit of their expertise.
Second, let me help you relax by telling you that there are not very many resorts in the Cabo area that has a swimable beach. I am not sure if there is a swimable beach near the Presidente or not. I recommend that you email Michael Oney, the General Manager at michael_oney@interconti.com, and ask him if there is one nearby.
The Presidente is a wonderful resort, and you are sure to have a great time.
