Experience I have traveled many times to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and the Mayan Riviera, as well as Cozumel. I have been selling vacations to these destinations for many years and I travel to many of the resorts in these popular tourist destinations about once a year.
Question We are wanting to take a vacation next year in Aug/Sept because that is when we can travel. We love the beach and would like to go to Cabo San Lucas. We are concerned about rain/hurricanes but from our research it does not look like this would be a high concern. Do you know if this would be a good time to visit this locations vs other beach destinations this time of year?
Thank you,
Tonja
Answer That time of year is a great time to visit Cabo. If you travel late August/early September the extreme heat of the summer should have dissipated some.
Hurricane season is from June 1 to the end of November. Typically the Pacific ocean is out of the hurricane belt, but as last year proved hurricanes can still form and hit that side of Mexico. Just to be safe, I always encourage all my customers to purchase travel protection. This will allow them to cancel their trip should a named storm be predicted to hit their destination. It also gives you coverage should you be stranded there for a few extra days to do severe weather.
I would love to help you plan your vacation. Please drop me an email if you would some information about resorts, activities, etc and I will be glad to email or mail you some options.
