Mexico/All Inclusive Reorts
Expert: Pam Smith - 11/19/2007
QuestionHello, I am in the process of narrowing down the resorts that I am looking at for my honeymoon next year. These are the resorts that I am looking at.
1. Excellence Riviera Cancun
2. Occidental Grand Xcaret
3. El Dorado Royale
4. Aventura Spa Palace
Which of these resorts would be the nicest and have the most to do? I think the things that are most important to us are Nice beach, good number of resturants, night life, and a resort feel (not a large hotel highrise feel). If you could give any information back regaurding these resorts that would be great. Thank you for your time and help.
Andrew
AnswerHello Andrew,
I would first take the Occidental Grand Xcaret off your list. This is a family resort, located on a VERY small manmade beach. Not exactly a romantic resort.
The other three resorts are my best selling honeymoon resorts. You didn't mention your budget, if you can swing the cost, you can't go wrong with the Casita Suites at the El Dorado Royale. They are like a resort within the resort. Each group of Casitas has their own swim-up bar and concierge. You are located on a very long stretch of beach, but only a portion of that beach is swimable.
The Aventura Spa Palace is located on a man-made beach, which makes for a nice quiet cove area, but not your typical beach with waves. The advantage to the Aventura is that you have exchange privileges with the other Palace resorts and they offer some nice free tours.
The Excellence Riviera is wonderful as well on a great beach.
I think the biggest factor in choosing what resort works best for you is going to be your budget. I would love the opportunity to assist you with this decision process, and book your honeymoon for you. There is no cost for my service, so please feel free to contact me direct for quotes and to answer any other questions. If you want my help, please include your travel dates and where you are flying from so I can give you the proper quotes.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
