About Ron Russell
Expertise
I lived full time in the Chapala-Ajijic area for 7 years, and now Manzanillo area 4 years. During that time I provided information (health care, working papers, immigration, driving, cost of living, insurance, culture, divorce in Mexico, trusts vs direct deed, etc) to help people make the decision about whether the area was right for them, either full or part-time. Now living north of Manzanillo on the Pacific Coast. I live legally in Mexico.

Experience

Have driven extensively in the area, to the coast (Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta, Colima),to Patzcuaro, etc. Bused to Mexico City, flew to Chiapas. Also driven in Honduras, from Ontario Canada through border crossings at Laredo and Reynosa Texas to Lakeside. Can provide instructions and border crossing info. Question
Hi
Have watched Chapla temp. on internet for the last 30 days.
Is temp normaly this hot for this time of year?
Thanks
 Eddie Palmer

Answer
Hi Eddie, The Guadalajara reporter publishes monly/yearly temperatures occasionally but there is nothing in my current copy.

I think it is hotter this year than previous and the wonderful rainy season is still 4 weeeks away.

We are also seeing more bugs this year seeking shelter in the house and humidity that is unusual, must be because of that darn lake arising :-)

May is one month I wish I could be somewhere else!

The good thing is that morning and early evening temps are cooler, down to mid 60s. Walking over from the sunny side of the street to the shady side is how I survive afternoons if I must go down to the village. Our community pool gets lots of use too.

Our home is always temperate due to concrete construction. Some residents have air conditioners and evaporators, we just put the ceiling fans on and are comfortable.

Best regards,
   Ron
