Question Hi, my name is Pauline and i live in Australia and i'am currently studing for my cert 3 in aged care and i am wondering if you can help me my question is: A man from Mexico is a resident, and his daughter says that she cannot care for him when he goes home. This may be because in Mexico women cannot give care if? I have spoken to my tafe teacher and she said to find it on the internet and i have searched and searched and you are my last resort hoping you can help me. cheers
Answer Hi Pauline, I don't understand the statement because Mexican Society is all about caring. I have never known a gentler and more caring people. We often see teenage girls and boys sitting with their grandparents in the village square during holiday celebrations. The older generation and infirm individuals are highly respected and taken care of.
It makes no sense that a daughter would not care for a father here in Mexico. She would take care of him as a first priority before anything else.
