Question Tina Hi its Alison again. Not having any luck really. The Google search appears to be $100 dollars per year and I could not get it to work anyway. Any other search box ideas??? This is definately the biggest problem. I did sort out the contact for via a free download with no ads so I am pleased with that. As for the css maker I downloaded a menu which I created pasted it to my website and it just came out as normal writing with bullet points in front not the fancy look it should have been.
The search form is now giving me sleepless nights, its 2am! Thanks for your advice so far, sorry to b a continuous pain.
Answer The google search is free but there is a pro version ...suggest asking on the google forum for further help with that. I've not researched free se's for a long time ... I started using frontlook which is a fp and ew search engine which is about $30 you have to have php5 or asp on the server though ...
suggest looking at these free ones but just google.. bear in mind you need to know what platform (ie asp.net php cgi etc) your host will support... i'm surprised they dont have have their own se that they support. these free ones only do so many page so if you have site with more than say probably 500 pages or whatever they have as the limit it won't be any good for you.

You will have to do more with the menu maker ...bear in mind you have to view in the browser and probably have js running (i cant remmeber about that) but view in the browser
