Question
I have tried all the help from my ISP (orange broadband)  and Microsoft but still keep getting error 12007 and its impossible to do almost anything HELP please.I have a Dell laptop ,wired connection with a livebox and never had any problems with dial up.Thanks,June M.

Answer
Hi June,

Are you using Internet Explorer 6 or 7? Verify that the settings are correct with Orange. Found the following:

http://help.orange.co.uk/documentDisplay.do?gotoLink=0&docType=1006&contextId=63...

Do you have an anti-virus program installed? If yes, try updating it and then run a virus scan.

In the next suggestion, go to Start, Run which is the Command Prompt.

Open the Command Prompt,type in

netsh winsock reset

press enter

From: http://www.theeldergeek.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=25407

If that doesn't work, check out the following for more information:

Hope this helps!
Lorry
