Question
QUESTION: Hi,
I recently reinstalled my operating system and now IE is not working.  I am running Windows XP home edition with service pack 2.  When I open IE the error message says that it can not display the web page.  I am able to access the internet and use IE on my laptop, so I know that it is not an internet problem.  I have tried reinstalling IE 7 and IE 6.  I also tried repairing IE, and turning off firewalls and anti-virus software.  I need IE to access Quick Books online so that I can work, and the laptop is too hard on my eyes.  Any help you can give would be much appreciated.  Thank you!

ANSWER: Hello Crystal,

Please let me know following:

Hint: Type Ipconfig <enter> in command prompt

2. Are you ping any website from the command prompt.(eg Ping yahoo.com)

Thanks and Regards,

Answer
Hello Crystal,

Regarding your issue, please try following.

1. Click on start.
2. Go to Run.
3. Type sfc /scannow and click Ok. (you need to keep windows disk handy while running this).
4. Once the process is complete, try to reboot your computer.

If in case that does not resolve your issue, please let me know.

Thanks and Regards,
