Microsoft Internet Explorer - autofil

Expert: Lorry - 10/26/2009

Question
QUESTION: I had autofil on my computer, and it went away after having taken it in for a virus clean-up. How do I get it back

ANSWER: Hi David,

With Internet Explorer opened, go to Tools, Internet Options, under the Content tab click Settings under AutoComplete, in the next window you may choose what you want to use AutoComplete for, click OK.

Hope this helps!

QUESTION: I did as you instructed. Shouldn't something appear in the tool bar to indicate that it's there?
David
Thanks, Lorry

ANSWER: Hi David,

Nothing will show up in the tool bar to let you know that is there. When you started typing www.allexperts.com, did it show you possible sites that match the letters you typed already?

Later,

QUESTION: Maybe I didn't ask you right. When my wife fills in forms, it autofiled in the address, etc for her. Originally, there was an autofil icon which she could click on to fill in the form automatically. Is this what you have given me instructions for? If so, it still isn't working and there is no Icon.
As far as typing a few letters in the exployer search box, yes that part works.  Bear with me please, Lorry...david

Answer
Hi David,

When you go to Tools, Internet options, under the Content tab, click Settings under AutoComplete, is the box checked next to Forms? If it is, it should automatically do so. Of course, she will have to fill out a form first before it works.

Hope this is what you want,
Lorry
