Microsoft Internet Explorer - Favourites

Question
I am using Windows XP on my Dell Dimension 5100 and am finding my PC has gotten quite slow after 3 years of use. I would like to restore it to factory settings - I have saved files to my documents and will soon burn to disk; how do I save all of our internet favourites?

Answer
If you make sure you have all of the folders/files under the window when you click on My Documents, you will have all of the personalized settings for all programs you have installed including browser information.

It is also important to back up all of your system driver files unless you have disks to reinstall.

Here are a couple of valuable articles at ehow.com which make backing up your system easier:

Hope this helps.
