Question I have XP SP2 and IE8. Very often(but not every time), when I try to open another site in the new tub, whole system is stuck and until I'll close all IE windows will not work. At that time almost no exchange between computer and server. Sometime there is also not possible to open link from Outlook Express.
Answer XP has a service pack 3. I would recommend upgrading and you might find that your problems go away.
Sometimes when additional software is installed, it can change system files that Windows is expecting/needs.
