Question
When typing in text boxes, such as this exact one. I cannot see what I've typed. help?
Internet Explorer 7, Windows xp

Answer
Do you use a custom theme for your Windows system which uses white text? That is the only reason I can think of that would cause the problem.

You can check your Windows system color settings if you Right click on your desktop, and then click Properties. Click on the Appearance tab. Make sure the text that says "Window text" in the Active Window example pane is a dark color.

If you are using a dark theme/skin for Windows then you can set your color preferences for just IE by clicking on Tools, Internet Options. Then click on the Appearance button at the bottom.

Hope this helps.
