Question Hello Lorry, Can you please explain to me the difference between clicking a logout link (or button) on a web page and closing out the window, like when you hit the X button in the upper right corner?
Thanks, Bruce
Answer Hi Bruce,
If you have more than one window open in Internet Explorer, when you click the "X" in the upper right hand corner, you are just closing that window. To close Internet Explorer you would have to click the "X" in all opened windows of IE.
If you close Internet Explorer while you have more than one tab open, a dialog box appears and asks if you want to close all tabs. When you click the Close Tabs button, IE7 closes and only one tab appears the next time you open IE7. You can click the Show Options button to tell IE7 to reopen all the currently open tabs the next time you open Internet Explorer, and then click the Close Tabs button to close IE7.
