Question
My hyperlinks have quit updating the color to indicate visited. I have looked at the colors and changed them. Every one that was visited before yesterday is updated but all new ones won't. Posts on messge boards are also not updating. Running xp home sp2 with ie 6 sp2.

Answer

does this happens on all the sites...or on some particular sites....

see the option to change the  visited color to change is (normally )embeded in the  HTML code of that page ...
Did you try the  refresh button.....and does it still
does not changes after a refresh...
See when you use a back button... your browser normally gets some part of it from the cache  of your computer...
when you refresh...then it contacts and downloads the content again from the website...and in that case the link color should change...

Also check  anyother browser...beside  ie ...and see if the color changes in that other browser...
[ you can try  netscape, mozilla firefox or opera..or any other ]

just one more suggestion...
tools--->. internet option..
then click the color button..
and tick the option  'use hover color '

hope it will be clear...
