Microsoft Internet Explorer - Yahoo access

Expert: Frances Rhea - 4/13/2004

Question
I cannot access YAHOO without hitting either the "Go" or "Refresh" buttons.
Even when using the Google dropdown box - all I get is a blank white page until I do the above.
All other websites pop right up immediately!
I am using XP Home EDition.
Any ideas please?

Thanks,
Kevin

Answer
Is this for the Yahoo search page? Or is this for Yahoo messenger? It sounds like you want the search page but wasn't sure.

You could click on "start", "run", and type in 'regedit'. When the registry editor opens, click on Edit, Find. Type in Yahoo and click Find. Search through all the registry entries for Yahoo until you find something. Delete them. Exit registry editor. Restart your system.

Try to go to Yahoo again. You may need to enter any username and password again if you have Yahoo personalized.

Hope this helps.
