Question
When I open explorer, the window looks normal, but when I try to type anything in the address bar, the window closes immediately at the first stroke of the keyboard.  When I try to open another window by using the scroll button, I can't type on the screen (like log on infor for email).

Answer
All the symptoms of a virus infected System..... at least something which has messed up with your browsers security settings....

..if you have installed , any anti-spyware , before these thing started happening, visit their web-site, and seek help...from their support .

if not, then
1- get a good anti-virus, update its defination files, and then scan your system throughly for any viruses..

2- get a good anti-spyware,with easily understandable , configration settings, and run an anti-spyeare scan, ..and clean the system of any spyware.

visit  www.filehippo.com

and you will find, good anti-vrius softwares, some good free ones too, also, good anti-spywares ...all from their site.

...also if you like, visit trendmicros , or Panda antivirues site, and run an online scan of your system,
also get Hijack this, [ you can find it also at www.filehippo.com  ] run its scan, generate its report, and post that report into their support forums.

and they will advice you, on setting , and measures you should take, according to the scan report, you have submitted.

...because most definately , its a infection,  virus, or spyware, which has messed up, ...with your browser,...especially its security settings..

...and since you have not given any other details, like Your OS, your browser, and your mode of connection to the Net....that the best advice I can give.

hope it helps.
