will some active x java or anything of the sort make an address show up in my address bar history? i recently went to a site that popped up numerous redirection links, lots of porn lots of garbage, and a few showed up in my address bar history.....need some help

The easiest way to remove all traces that they would have left is to download this software. The first is Ad-Aware:
This will identify any additional problems that Ad-Aware has not found or removed. It will open a page in your browser that tells you what it found. If you click on the links they take you to a page that tells you how to remove the problem found.
When you are done with these 2 programs everything should be clean. Run these programs at least once a week. Let me know if you need additional help.

i was wondering if you goto a site and all the popups and redirections(without actually clicking on them)will show up in your history when you hit the drop down box?
is there some scripts or activex or some sort of browser hijacking(trojan?virus?spyware?malware?)
i have a couple things in my history that i know i didnt type in the address bar and when i hit my drop down box these sites are in my history and im the only user!
Answer Yes, webmasters can write lots of things into scripts which are embedded in the web page. Sites that are famous for this are crack sites. They can even write things to your registry! The two software programs will eliminate those problems if you download them.
