Question
is there a way to remove an incorrect internet address from the address bar?

Answer
..Normally  clearing  cache...deleting cookies...and clearing History will do....

Tools-->> internet options
then click the delete files button..then the cookies button

and from the bottom click the clear history button...

will delete your stored URLs....

To be doubly sure... now click the Advanced tab...and scroll down to security section  and check the  "Emply Temp internet Files when browser closes"  ooption.

....also in the windows directory....there is a History folder...
C:\Windows\History

..where there will be other folder...Named accordingly to Lastweek...and then according to dates...

you can either delete all of them...or open any particular..and select the  Offending Url and delete it individually.

... If the problem persists.... then  its more likely that you have some sort of Spyware-adawere  installed on your system...

in that case get  a good anti-spyware adaware remover...

Spybot search and detroy (security.kolla.de ) and Ad-aware ( www.lavasoftusa.com ) are the usuall standard... which help a lot....Beside if you download  Yahoo's search toolbar...and install it in your browser...it too has a good anti-spyware built in into it..

hope it will help..
