Microsoft Internet Explorer - browser problem

Expert: Frances Rhea - 6/17/2004

Question
I play games on a site called neopets..my ISP is netzero with the highspeed upgrade..everything worked fine for months..now I keep getting an error message that shows up as 500..but the wording is that my browser is sending an invalid request..(SERVER ERROR)  I have only had this happen once while on yahoo but numerous times while playing games on neo..I have replaced my ie6.0..my flash player ..checked my java and upgraded..my shockwave..scan disked ..defragged..debugged..reported this to netzero and neo..it's so annoying..I'm out of ideas..I also have windows XP on fairly new computer..Compaq S3100nx..recently had brain surgery to remove small tumour and this computer is my lifeline..any help will be greatly appreciated..Thankyou

Answer
There could be many reasons that this is happening. You said you replaced your IE 6 but did you update it to the latest version? Go to updates.microsoft.com to download the IE service pack. Have you installed any of the Windows Security releases? If so, one of them could be causing the problem. Check out this page:

If niether of these solutions works, let me know.
