Microsoft Internet Explorer/Auto complete not working

I have found that the "Shockwave Flash Object" by Adobe Activex Control was the problem.  When I go to manage Add-Inns, I disabled one at a time until my autocomplete worked.  I tried all other solutions in newsgroups and this was the only one that worked for me.

I too verified routine enabling procedures were in place, went to Microsoft who provided two preposterous solutions; given that many users can't edit the registry (permissions even on owners sys default to deny) or are they inclined to rewrite to background web page programing. This had been a common problem over the years with poor response and vague help
