i have cable, i think my internet provider has a hardware firewall.
i can't seem to be able to download ftp i can only access http.
plz help.

Yes...

They have blocked  downloads....or  ftp access....

you will have to talk to them  about it..


Its one of the most common problems.....


These  cable Net providers  ..... are known to  block

ftp access....as well  as  voips...

Ask   them  at what time do they  allow  ftp access..

My cable net provider  allow  ftp access after   1 am ...

til  10am....
