Microsoft Internet Explorer - can't view website

Expert: Aquaris - 4/5/2005

Question
I use IE 6. I have been unable to view my child's school web page for about 2 weeks. I know that the site is not down because my brother-in-law can view this. Where do I begin to solve this problem?

Answer
Sorry But I need more informations...

Like...  Are you getting  any error messages...?

What Kind of connection are you using....?
Like  a dialup  or  DSL  or any other ...etc...

Beside IE  do you have any other browser like Netscape, mozilla, Opera,Firefox..etc..etc..

In the Meanwhile  you can try a few tips.

Check the  exact URL you are typing in the address bar...
some times we  misspell a  URL then obviously since that misspelled URL does not exists or point to some other site..
we feel at loss..

1- Clean you browser's cache / History/ cookies
Open Internet Explorer
Click  Tools--->> internet options

then click the delete Files and delete cookies button
also you may click the clear history button.

this should clear out any stale cookies and content ...
which might be stuck there in the cache...and not allowing fresher  content to come in...

...also I would recommend to USE any other third party internet browser... like  FireFox  or  Mozilla (you can use  www.downloads.com  and then their Browser section to locate the URLs from where you can download them if needed.)
and see if the problem persists...

hope   it  help...
