Question hi there this is rather a sensitive area however i was on my boyfriends computer the other day (Sunday) and found a log on his PC on a different e-mail address chatting to a girl in order to meet...
ive questioned him about this since then and hes adamant that it was not him and he seems to be rather worried about how it got there...
is there any way someone else log could get on his PC without them having used his PC?
Answer Hey Angie. Here's some things you can do to check and see if it's him or not that used that account:
1.) Read the chat log. Look and see if his name is mentioned anywhere in the conversation.
(replace "<e-mail address here>" with their e-mail address.)
3.) See if that account that "isn't his" is on MySpace. Do a search by e-mail and see if his face shows up when searching that e-mail. Also, try searching Google for that e-mail address, see if anything turns up.
These are all ways you can use to see if it's him or not. The chances of a virus landing on his computer and logging the chats where you're able to find it in the general chat log directory are very slim. Either it's an account that he has which he has not told you about, or it's an account that someone else had used while on his computer physically (perhaps a friend over at his house using his computer).
